Razvan Cotarlici built the TV Remote Button Mapper app as a Free ad-free app. This SERVICE is provided by Razvan Cotarlici at no cost and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information.
This app does not collect, store, or share any personal information.
The core functionality of TV Remote Button Mapper relies entirely on local, on-device processing. No accounts are required, no telemetry is sent to remote servers, and no personal identifiable information is requested.
In order to function, TV Remote Button Mapper requires the user to enable the Android Accessibility Service API.
Why is this required?
FLAG_REQUEST_FILTER_KEY_EVENTS exclusively to intercept hardware remote control button presses (like Volume, D-Pad, or App-specific buttons). What is NOT being tracked:
This app operates completely offline. It does not use third-party analytics trackers, crash reporting tools (like Firebase), or advertising networks. Therefore, no network Log Data, IP addresses, or tracking Cookies are collected by me or third parties through this app.
However, the app is distributed via the Google Play Store, which may collect standard, anonymized crash reports and installation metrics according to their own Google Privacy Policy.
This Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. Because the app does not collect any data whatsoever, it inherently protects the privacy of children.
I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
This policy is effective as of July 13, 2026.
